While the Rams had become the first to earn a post-season berth earlier on game day, the Seattle team secured their place to the play-offs after a 24-month absence.
With this result, the Seahawks have taken over their Conference race with a twelve and three mark, replacing the Los Angeles, who fell to the number five seed with an 11-4 record.

Quarterback Sam Darnold had two interceptions but recovered to deliver two touchdown passes, including the second score to star receiver Smith-Njigba in overtime.
The visitors held a 13-7 advantage at half-time before Walker burst through for a long scoring dash for Seattle.
Los Angeles defensive back Josh Wallace then returned Darnold's initial pick for 56 yards, setting up a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.
In the final stanza, a scoring pass from Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided the hope with a spectacular punt return.
Darnold then found Barner in the endzone, and a converted conversion forced the game into overtime.
Although Nacua scored for his second TD in overtime, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
